SEN Support Without a Diagnosis

Many parents worry they can’t access support unless their child has a formal diagnosis. The reality is you do not need a diagnosis to get meaningful SEN support.

No diagnosis required. No long waitlists. Just clarity and a clear next step.

Why a Diagnosis Isn’t Always the First Step

We support families whose children may be experiencing learning differences, emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, school avoidance, or neurodivergent traits — with or without a formal label..

Children develop at different rates, and not every child fits neatly into diagnostic criteria. Waiting for assessments can delay support that could help right now.

Understanding your child’s needs

We help parents see the world through their child’s eyes, recognising unique learning styles, sensory needs, and emotional triggers so support feels personalised and effective.

Supporting emotional wellbeing

By teaching strategies for co-regulation, calming routines, and mindful transitions, we help children manage anxiety, meltdowns, and overwhelm in everyday life.

Reducing stress at home and school

Practical adjustments, clear routines, and proactive communication with teachers reduce tension and create a calmer environment for both children and parents.

Empowering parents with practical strategies

We guide parents with actionable tools and reassurance, empowering them to act calmly, set boundaries, and support their child without feeling stressed or uncertain.

Support can begin based on observed needs, not diagnostic labels.

What This Support Is and Is Not

To avoid confusion, it’s important to be clear.

This support is:

Practical and parent‑centred guidance for everyday challenges

We provide actionable strategies you can implement at home or in school settings to manage routines, behaviour, and emotional regulation, so you feel confident supporting your child daily.

Neurodiversity‑affirming approach that celebrates your child’s strengths

Our support recognises that every child processes the world differently, focusing on their unique abilities and learning style rather than trying to fit them into a standard model.

Focused on routines, emotional regulation, and school communication

We guide parents in creating consistent routines, co-regulation strategies, and effective communication with teachers to help children thrive both at home and at school.

Available without a clinical diagnosis or medical intervention

Families don’t need to wait for assessments or formal diagnoses — support can start immediately, ensuring children and parents get help when it’s most needed.

Designed to empower parents with confidence and clarity

Our coaching and guidance equip parents with the knowledge, tools, and reassurance to make informed decisions for their child’s wellbeing and learning journey.

This support is not:

Clinical therapy or psychological treatment for children or families

Our service does not provide therapy sessions, counselling, or any form of medical mental health intervention. It is focused on coaching and guidance for parents.

Formal diagnostic assessment or labelling of children

We do not conduct assessments or provide diagnostic labels. Families seeking a formal evaluation will need to go through the appropriate medical or educational channels.

Medical, pharmaceutical, or therapeutic interventions

This support does not include medication advice, prescriptions, or any clinical treatment. Our focus is purely practical strategies and guidance.

A method to pathologise, label, or judge a child’s behaviour or abilities

We do not use deficit-focused language or create medical labels. The aim is to support your child’s growth, strengths, and wellbeing without judgement.

A one-size-fits-all solution for every child or family situation

Our support is tailored to each child and family. We do not offer generic programs; instead, we focus on individualised strategies that meet your unique needs.

This support is designed to help you navigate your child’s needs with practical strategies, compassion, and understanding without requiring a formal diagnosis.

I work with families across Sydney and NSW, including the Inner West, Western Sydney, Northern Beaches, Parramatta and surrounding areas. Support is available in flexible formats to suit busy family life.

If you’re unsure whether your child needs a diagnosis — or simply need guidance now — you don’t have to wait to seek support.

Take the Next Step

You don’t need a diagnosis to take action.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to support your child, SEN parent support without diagnosis can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Parents often tell us they finally felt heard and finally understood their child.

"During an overwhelming time for our family, Laura provided steady, compassionate support. She helped us understand our child’s needs clearly and guided us through next steps with confidence and care. What mattered most was her focus on what would genuinely help our child flourish — not just academically, but emotionally and socially too. We felt supported as a whole family, not just as parents.”

I can't thank Laura enough for the care, patience, and understanding she has shown my son Bailey over the last 3 years. She has taken the time to really get to know his needs, strengths, and triggers, and responded with kindness and reassurance.

I would highly recommend Laura to any family needing compassionate and highly skilled SEN support.

“Laura was a vital source of support for our family, particularly for our youngest child with more complex needs. She helped us identify the most appropriate support for both of our children and guided us through the process with clarity, thoughtfulness, and genuine care.”

Laura is such a ray of sunshine. She has a way of making every child feel special. Her kind hearted way makes children calm in her presence. She sees the good in others and that shines through the children as they grow stronger knowing they have someone who truly believes in them. A real privilege to have her as my child’s teacher.
